NY Man Arrested For Burglarizing Bloomfield Dunkin' Donuts: Police

The man was found at the Lackawanna Train Station with a cash register and bottles of soda, Bloomfield police say.

Bloomfield, NJ – Bloomfield police have arrested a New York man in connection with the burglary of the Dunkin’ Donuts on Glenwood Avenue last week.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to an active alarm at the Dunkin’ Donuts on the evening of April 12. At the scene, police found a broken side window and the cash register missing.

Two Bloomfield officers located Modou Babou, 20, of New York, at the Lackawanna Train Station around 10 p.m.

Police said that Babou was found in possession of a cash register and bottles of soda allegedly stolen from the store.

Babou was also allegedly captured on the store’s security camera, police stated.

Authorities charged him with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
