Joint investigation led to arrest, police say

Arrest Made In Brick Bank Robbery
Police have arrested a Jackson man in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in Brick March 6.

Donald Van Arsdale, 48, of Jackson, is charged with robbing the Hudson City Savings Bank branch at 55 Brick Boulevard, according to Brick Police Sgt. Henry Drew.

Van Arsdale was arrested after an investigation by Brick police along with the Lakewood and Jackson police departments, as well as the FBI, Drew said. He is currently being lodged in the Ocean County Jail after bail was set at $100,000 cash by Municipal Court Judge Robert Lepore.

The investigation is ongoing, Drew said, and anyone with information is being asked to contact Detective Kenneth Steinberg in the Brick Township Police Detective Bureau at 732-262-1113.
