Brick PAL Announces 'PAL of the Year' Winners

The Brick Police Athletic League announced the winners of its annual "PAL of the Year" awards today.

PAL of the Year is the opportunity for the Brick PAL to recognize those in the community that have gone above and beyond in assisting the Brick PAL and the youth in the community, said Dan McKevitt, PAL Executive Director.

This year's winners include:

  • Chief Nils R. Bergquist of the Brick Township Police Department.
  • Kathi Mead of Investors Savings Bank.
  • Seashore Amusements, a Brick Township based business.
  • Wal-Mart of Brick Township.
  • Linda Barnfield from the Brick Township School District (retired).

The PAL's "Youth Volunteer of the Year" award went to Reilly McCarthy and Alexis Schuller who are both Brick High School students.

The awards will be presented to the winners at a banquet which will take place Friday Oct. 19 at the Woodlake Country Club in Lakewood.

Tickets are available for $60 per person and tables of 10 are available for $550. There is also limited space available in the event's ad journal, McKevitt said. For tickets or further information, contact McKevitt at 732-477-0144 or send an e-mail to dan@brickpal.org.
