Brick Police to Hold CERT Team Classes in June

Brick Police to Hold CERT Team Classes in June
The Brick Township Police Department will begin a new round of Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, classes in June.

CERT training promotes a partnering effort between emergency services and the people they serve, the Brick department said in an announcement this week.

"The goal is for emergency personnel to train members of neighborhoods, community organizations, and workplaces in basic response skills. Upon completion of training you will be better prepared to help yourself and your community. These skills can be utilized by the student in the event of a personal emergency or a national disaster and any situation in between," police said.

Whether you want to become an official CERT team member, or learn the disaster techniques to help yourself and your family, this training will greatly benefit you and your community.
