Truck Fire Shuts Down Route 88 In Brick (Updated)

Firefighters from two companies extinguished the truck fire, which was just east of the Route 70 intersection.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are asking motorists to avoid the area of Route 88 at Post Road on Monday following a crash and vehicle fire.

Route 88 was closed Post Road and Jack Martin Boulevard while authorities dealt with the aftermath of the vehicle fire, which happened near Post Road.

Laurelton Fire Company posted photos showing what appears to be a vehicle carrier on fire and smoking as firefighters from Laurelton and the Herbertsville Fire Company worked to extinguish the fire.
