The Turning Point restaurants’ 10th Annual “Eat, Drink and Be Caring” fundraiser, held over one weekend in November, raised more than $23,000 to benefit LADACIN Network, a nonprofit agency that provides services and programs to infants, children and adults with cerebral palsy and other multiple physical and developmental disabilities.
The annual fundraiser was conducted at six Turning Point restaurants – Brick, Holmdel, Little Silver, Long Branch, Manalapan and Sea Girt – where guests who donated $20 to LADACIN Network received restaurant gift cards for free entrees at any of the 11 Turning Point locations in New Jersey.

With this year’s donation, Turning Point restaurants now have raised more than $120,000 for LADACIN Network through the “Eat, Drink and Be Caring” events over the last 10 years.
“We are honored to acknowledge the Turning Point Restaurants as a Corporate Sponsor of LADACIN Network,” said Patricia Carlesimo, Executive Director of LADACIN Network. “Our community is a better place because of Turning Point owners Kirk and Pam Ruoff and the staff at their restaurants.”

Carlesimo added that, prior to the annual fundraisers, Turning Point managers attended LADACIN programs to gain a better understanding of its mission and wait staff had been educated about LADACIN. As a result, the staff was engaged, enthusiastic and supportive of the fundraiser, she said.
The Ruoffs said their commitment to LADACIN and other charitable organizations is rooted in a sense of community they share with staff and customers of Turning Point.
“We are extremely proud of the generosity of our customers and the hard work of our staff, who together make it possible for us to support the important work of LADACIN Network,” Kirk Ruoff said. “We consider these fundraisers an integral part of our role in the community and, as longtime residents of the Jersey Shore, we also feel a responsibility to support and preserve the organizations that help make it a special place to live.”
The family-owned and operated Turning Point Restaurants serve breakfast, lunch and brunch at 11 locations in New Jersey (The other five are in Cherry Hill, Hoboken, Marlton, Princeton and Westfield.) and were voted No. 1 in the Breakfast category in New Jersey Monthly’s “Jersey Choice Restaurant Poll 2015.”
In addition to offering services and programs, LADACIN Network also provides therapeutic recreation programs; lift-equipped transportation; vocational education and supported employment; occupational, speech and physical therapies; assistive technology; diagnostic clinics and outpatient services, including therapy and assistive technology assessments.
