Bridgewater Buys $222K Worth Of Police Vehicles
The Bridgewater council unanimously voted to approve the purchase of $222,000 for more vehicles for the police department.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater Police Department will be adding more vehicles to its force.
The Bridgewater council unanimously voted to approve the purchase of two 2017 Ford Explorer 4WD base, two 2016 Police SUV Interceptor low profile black and whites and two 2016 Police SUV Interceptor full light bar black and whites for $222,881.
The purchase was approved at the Sept. 8 meeting and it will be funded through the Somerset County Improvement Authority Somerset Municipal BANC Program.

Breakdown of the purchase:
- The cost of the two 2017 Ford Explorer 4WD vehicle is $61,400 at a unit price of $30,700 each;
- the two 2016 Ford SUV’s Interceptor low profile vehicle is $79,441.50 at a unit price of $39,720.75 each;
- and the cost of the two 2016 Ford SUV’s Interceptor full light bar vehicle is $82,039.50 at a unit price of $41,019.75 each.
