Bridgewater Restaurant Affected in Massive Credit Card Breach
Landry's restaurant chain releases the list of all eateries affected by the credit card data breach

Bridgewater, NJ -- Locals who dined at Mcormick & Schmick’s in Bridgewater may be at risk for credit fraud.
Landry’s restaurant chain and Golden Nugget Casinos announced a massive credit card data breach occurred at their locations nationwide.
Of those locations there are eight in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania area.

The investigation began after a report was made in December about suspicious activity regarding cards that had been legitimately used in some of the locations.
A cyber security firm was hired to look into the situation and work with law enforcement.

“Findings from the investigation show that criminal attackers were able to install a program on payment card processing devices at certain of our restaurants, food and beverage outlets, spas, entertainment destinations, and managed properties,” the release stated. “The program was designed to search for data from the magnetic stripe of payment cards that had been swiped (cardholder name, card number, expiration date and internal verification code) as the data was being routed through affected systems.”
The breaches were discovered to have occurred at locations at different times -- during one or both of the following periods: from May 4, 2014 through March 15, 2015 and from May 5, 2015 through December 3, 2015.
Mcormick & Schmick’s in Bridgewater was affected from May 5, 2014 to March 14, 2015 and also May 5, 2015 to Dec. 3, 2015.

- Rainforest Café in Atlantic City: 5/8/2015 to 12/3/2015
- Golden Nugget in Atlantic City: 5/4/2014 to 12/3/2015
- Big Fish Seafood Bistro in Princeton: 5/6/2014 to 3/14/2015; 5/8/2015 to 11/23/2015
- McCormick & Schmick’s in Cherry Hill: 5/31/2014
Pennsylvania restaurants affected:
- Chart House in Philadelphia: 5/8/2014 to 3/14/2015; 5/8/2015 to 11/19/2015
- McCormick & Schmick’s in Philadelphia: 5/9/2014 to 3/14/2015; 5/8/2015 to 12/3/2015
- Morton’s in Philadelphia: 5/8/2015 to 12/3/2015

Since the breach the Landry’s and Golden Nugget have enhanced security measures to prevent a similar issue from occurring in the future.
Anyone who has used a credit card at any of the affected locations are urged to review their payment card statements for any unauthorized activity and report any unauthorized charges to your card issuer.
