Garbage Truck Fire Closes Lanes On Route 22 East In Somerset County

All lanes have since reopened on Monday.

GREEN BROOK, NJ — A garbage truck fire caused all lanes on Route 22 East in Somerset County to close on Monday morning. The highway has since reopened.

The fire is located on the eastbound side of the highway just east of County Route 529/Washington Avenue in Green Brook Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation's 511NJ website.

All lanes were closed as of 7:40 a.m.
