Car Fire Extinguished Before Spreading To CVS Building In Bridgewater
The fire broke out in the parking lot of the CVS building off Union Avenue.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A car that burst into flames in Bridgewater was extinguished by Finderne Firefighters before it was able to spread to a nearby CVS building on Friday.
The fire was reported just after 3 p.m. on Sept. 9 in the parking lot of the CVS at 440 Union Ave. in Bridgewater.
Initial calls reported the fire might have spread to the building.

"A quick response and deployment held the damage to the initial vehicle only," said Finderne Fire Department,
There were no injuries and the cause is unknown at this time, said Finderne Fire Chief Tom Marshall.

The Finderne Fire Department, which covers the southeast section of Bridgewater Township, responds to about 400 calls per year and currently operates three Engines, a Tower Ladder and a Heavy Rescue.
Volunteers are offered complete protective gear, free training, LOSAP (Length of Service Award Programs), a pay per call incentive, a life insurance/disability plan, and an in-house gym.
