The driver rear-ended the New Jersey State Trooper's truck and then continued to hit multiple other cars on Wednesday night.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A driver suffering a medical episode hit multiple cars including an unmarked New Jersey State Trooper(NJSP)'s pickup truck on Interstate 287 on Wednesday night, said police.

Just before 6 p.m., an unmarked NJSP Troop Car, Ford F-150, was driving on I-287 south when in the area of milepost 14.2 in Bridgewater he saw a silver Hyundai driving erratically in the left lane and left shoulder, said NJSP Trooper Brandi Slota.

The Ford F-150 was unable to get behind the Hyundai, and put on his emergency overhead lights before getting into the left shoulder where the Hyundai then rear-ended the trooper's pickup truck, said Slota.
