Garbage Truck Fire On The Somerville Circle Extinguished In Raritan
Firefighters were able to put out a garbage truck fire on the Somerville Circle in Raritan on Thursday afternoon.
RARITAN, NJ — Firefighters battled a garbage truck fire on the Somerville Circle on Thursday afternoon.
At 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 10, Raritan Fire Department was called to the Somerville Circle for a garbage truck on fire near the Quick Chek gas station.
"When we got there and the cab of the truck was fully engulfed," said Raritan Fire Chief Brian Kredatus.

Raritan Fire Department along with Somerville Fire Department were able to put out the fire. Somerset County Hazmat also came out to clean up. The hazmat team is still on the scene as of 1:30 p.m.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
