Local Restaurants Honor Veterans With Free Food

Veteran's Day is Friday, Nov. 11 and several local restaurants will be honoring their service with free food.

The Office, Applebee's and Chevy's are each offering a free meal to honor veterans and active members of the United States military.

The Office Beer Bar & Grill:

For one day only, retired and active duty military members can choose from mouthwatering burger options at The Office Tavern Grill’s Summit and Morristown locations including:

• Tavern Burger, made with 100% Ground Chuck, Provolone cheese, stout braised onions, Applewood smoked bacon and Office burger sauce
• Crusty Garlic Bread Burger, made with 100% Ground Chuck, fresh Mozzarella cheese, San Marzano tomato sauce and herbed garlic bread.

Military members visiting The OFFICE Beer Bar & Grill locations in Ridgewood and Montclair can choose from delicious items like:

• The Office Classic, made from 100% Ground Chuck, lettuce, tomato & onion on a toasted potato roll and choice Pepper jack, Swiss, American, Cheddar, Blue Cheese or Provolone cheese,
• The BBQ Bacon Cheddar Cheese, Applewood bacon, frizzled onions, BBQ sauce, served on a toasted potato roll and more.

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar

For the ninth consecutive year, Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar will honor veterans and active members of the United States military by offering each a free meal at any of the nearly 1,900 Applebee's restaurants in the United States on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2016.

Applebee's will offer seven of its signature menu items on itsVeterans Day menu:

• Butcher's Meat and Potatoes – The classic steakhouse cut, savory to the last bite. Served with seasonal vegetables and a choice of garlic mashed potatoes or baked potato.
• Oriental Chicken Salad – Fresh Asian greens tossed in a tasty Oriental vinaigrette and topped with crispy noodles, toasted almonds and golden fried chicken.
• Fiesta Lime Chicken® -- Grilled chicken done fiesta style, with zesty lime sauce, Mexi-ranch and Jack cheddar, served with crisp tortilla strips, seasoned rice and freshly made pico de gallo.
