Watch As A Tire Explodes Off Dump Truck On I-78 In Somerset County: Video

The fire was reported at around 7 a.m. on Monday.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A dump truck caught fire on Interstate 78 East causing commuter traffic delays in the Bedminster and Bridgewater area on Monday morning. (See a tire exploding off the truck below)

The fire was reported at 7 a.m. on the highway just west of Exit 29 for Interstate 287/US 202/US 206 in Bedminster, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation's 511NJ website.

Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department was among those to respond to find a fully involved dump truck.

As a result of the fire, one right lane of two lanes was closed and there were delays up to 20-minutes being reported.

"Great work to the responding crews on a quick knock," wrote the fire department.
