Caroline Fund's 5K Race Comes To Caldwell For 2015

The 2nd annual race will support brain and spine tumor research at Hackensack University Medical Center.

The Caroline Fund - a nonprofit established in 2013 in memory of 22-year-old Caldwell resident Caroline Vandemark – will host the 2nd Annual “Caroline Fund 5K Race” on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Funds raised will support brain and spine tumor research at Hackensack University Medical Center.

The race is slated to begin at 9 a.m., with registration at 7:30 a.m., at the St. Aloysius Church Parking Lot at 219 Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell. The start line will be located near the intersection of Hatfield Street and Forest Avenue.

Participants can register online here, or on the day of the event. The registration fee is $25, and includes a t-shirt and goodie bag. Water and refreshments will be provided.

The race is a USA Track & Field Grand Prix 500 Point sanctioned race.

According to event organizers, the 2014 race included around 600 runners and walkers, and raised $45,000 for the Caroline Vandemark Fund for Brain and Spine Tumor Research at Hackensack University Medical Center.
