Washington School to Hold Walk to Cure Diabetes

Washington Elementary School's Helping Hands Committee is organizing a Walk to Cure Diabetes on Saturday, Feb. 2.

The fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) will take place in West Caldwell at James Caldwell High School’s Bonnel Field from 10 a.m. to noon. (Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.)

Pre-registration will be $25 per family, $15 per individual. The first 200 registrants will receive a water bottle and a bracelet. Registration on the day of the event will be $30 per family, $20 per individual.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to JDRF.

The Walk to Cure Diabetes concludes Washington School’s Helping Hands Week, a week set aside to teach children about giving back to the community.

Participants of the brisk walk are asked to bring healthy children's snacks for the Caldwell Food Pantry.

To register or make a donation, visit  Washington School’s JDRF page.
