Simone Marean, executive director and co-founder of Girls Leadership Institute, will give give the presentation on "Raising Resilient Girls: What Parents Can Practice to Help Their Girls Be Authentic, Confident and Connected."
Marean will discuss how parents and teachers can "help girls practice assertive self-expression, emotional intelligence and healthy relationships, preparing them for a life of personal and societal leadership."
According to the presentation flyer, attendees will learn:
- How and why girls are aggressive with each other
- The Good Girl phenomenon
- The power of emotional intelligence
- The limitations of blame
- Conflict as an opportunity for positive change
