Summit Police: Child Reports Being Followed to School

A group of children were reportedly followed on their way to Brayton Elementary school in Summit this morning, according to police.

A female student told authorities that a suspicious vehicle was trailing her and a group of friends.

There have been a string of child luring and abduction attempts reported recently in Northern New Jersey.

A state police emergency alert went out today around 10:39a.m. that read:

It's not clear at the time the ages or how many children were present during the incident. Patch will follow up with details as they become available.
