Bus Driver Charged in Sexual Assault of Mentally Disabled Woman

A school bus driver from Cherry Hill was arrested Friday and charged with sexually assaulting an adult woman.

Ernie Cammack, 53, who drives a bus for the Camden City school district, was arrested in connection with an investigation into multiple sexual assaults of a woman with mental disabilities, prosecutors said.

The victim knew Cammack through friends, prosecutors said, and there was no indication he ever targeted children through his job as a bus driver.

Cammack was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and related charges.
