Cinnaminson Native Named All-Region Basketball Player

Josh Blamon, a senior at Stockton University, was named to the D3hoops.com All-Atlantic Region First Team.

Cinnaminson native Josh Blamon was named to the D3hoops.com All-Atlantic Region First Team for the second consecutive year, Stockton University announced Tuesday night.

Blamon was previously named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Player of the Year and First Team all-conference, bringing to three the total number of honors he’s collected for the 2014-15 season.

He is just the fifth Osprey ever to earn the honor.

The senior forward led the team with 17.9 points per game average, ranking third in the league.

He led the conference in free throw percentage at .880 (147-167) and grabbed 6.2 rebounds per game (5th in NJAC). In addition, he ranked fourth in the NJAC in three-pointers (70; 2.4 per game) and fifth in minutes played (33.7 mpg).

He scored in double figures in 25 of Stockton’s 29 games and reached the 20-point mark 14 times. Blamon finished third in school history in three-pointers (209) and sixth in points (1,397).

The Ospreys went 23-6 this season and won the NJAC title for the second straight year. Stockton advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament.
