Cinnaminson Police are seeking the public's help in tracking down two suspects.

Gunmen Try to Rob Cinnaminson Gas Station During Storm: Police

A pair of gunmen tried to rob the Shell station on Route 130 in the midst of Tuesday’s snowstorm, Cinnaminson Police said.

According to police, the attendant was inside the locked station office, across from the Acme shopping center, when two men approached and tried to open the door. One of the men asked the attendant to open the door and he refused. Both suspects then drew black handguns and the attendant called 911.

The suspects fled on foot toward Willow Drive. Police said no one was harmed and no money was stolen.

The gunmen are described as two black males, approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches, wearing all black, with full beards.

Anyone with information is urged to call Cinnaminson Police at 856-829-6667, ext. 2041, or submit a tip anonymously using the We Tip hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME.

Tuesday’s attempted robbery at the Shell station is the latest in a series of robberies at area gas stations. Earlier this month, three young men, including a Moorestown teen, were arrested for  holding up an attendant at gunpoint at a Shell station in Maple Shade.

Last week,  two men armed with handguns robbed an attendant at a Sunoco station in Maple Shade. Police are also investigating an  attempted armed robbery at a Gulf gas station in Collingswood that occurred in November.

In perhaps the most violent of these incidents,  a Woodbury man was killed in a robbery-homicide at a Route 45 gas station in August.
