St. Charles Celebrates Catholic Schools Week


Catholic Schools Week kicks off today at St. Charles Borromeo with an open house from noon to 2 p.m. today.

Each day is a different theme: Souper Monday, Turn About Tuesday, Patriotic Wednesday, Jumpin' Thursday, and Funtastic Friday.

Souper Monday celebrates the community with a canned soup collection. A 9 a.m. mass with a Catholic Schools Week liturgy will take place followed by a 1:30 p.m. spelling bee for fifth- through eighth-graders.

Turn About Tuesday celebrates students, starting with a student teacher turn about from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m, where eighth-graders switch places with their teachers. Pre K games will be held in McCusker Hall. A 1:15 p.m. ice cream social will be held.

Patriotic Wednesday celebrations the nation, Jumpin' Thursday celebrations vocations and Funtastic Friday celebrates faculty and staff.
