Turbana, Weber and ShopRite Help Kick Off Summer in Cinnaminson
"Grillin With Goodness" helped get summer going on Saturday.
Turbana and Weber helped kick off summer at Cinnaminson ShopRite on Route 130 on Saturday with its “Grillin’ Goodness with Turbana and Weber” event Saturday afternoon.
Chefs from Cinnaminson used Weber grills to demonstrate how to grill Turbana plantains in various ways. Customers were able to sample grilled plantains, and interact with Learning Through Gardening to see how the initiative is benefitting local schools.
Learning Through Gardening is supported by Turbana’s ongoing “Growing Smiles, Sharing Goodness” movement.

At any ShopRite store, guests who purchase Turbana plantains using their Price Plus Club cards during the promotional period of June 20-Aug. 31 will be automatically entered to win.
Turbana is rallying its “Growing Smiles, Sharing Goodness” movement, which seeks to inspire people to live healthier and more conscious lives.
For every Turbana plantain that is purchased during the period of the promotion, Turbana will donate a portion of the proceeds to the New Jersey Agricultural Society’s Learning Through Gardening program.
This elementary school program provides students with the resources to create school gardens, and educates them on reasons to care for the environment and ways to integrate fresh produce into their diets.
Beyond that, Turbana will also be displaying Learning Through Gardening garden beds at each grilling event, along with a sharing wall for students in the program to display what they’ve gained from the experience.
