1. Chair Yoga with Carol Ashby

Monday, April 8, 2013, 11 a.m.— 614-616 Collings Ave, Collingswood, NJ

"A combination of techniques that you can use in your daily life to build body awareness, connecting the mind and body with the breath. The activities promote the ability of participants to feel empowered for their own well-being.

From a safe seated or supported standing position you will strengthen muscles and increase flexibility and practice balance. You will experience centering, visualization exercises and yoga breathing techniques to reduce stress and improve mental focus."

2. "Lonely Bones"

Thursday, April 11, 7 to 8:30 p.m.—Collingswood Public Library

A program about African-American Civil War soldiers that includes a showing of Lonely Bones, a documentary about Johnson Cemetery in Camden. The cemetery, now a park, is the resting place of many African-American Civil War soldiers; many of the stones are covered in debris or gone completely. Andrew Coldren of the Salem County Historical Society will present after the film.

3. Open House at Collingswood Manor

Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m.—Collingswood Manor

"If you've always wanted to see Collingswood Manor, stop on by for our April Open House. Take a tour, grab a snack in our Bistro, see what's happening with upcoming activities that visitors are welcome to attend.  You may not be ready at the moment for a community like Collingswood Manor, but it always helps to be prepared."

4. Saints Prison Ministry Auction

Saturday, April 13 at 5:30 p.m.—Collingswood Community Center

"The Saints Prison Ministry is hosting its 11th Annual Charity Auction! The Saints have been serving in Prisons going on 26 years, and have been into 400+ prisons in 30 states and Canada. Items will include: autographs, event tickets, trips, and more!"

5. Collings Knight House Event

Saturday, April 13, 2 to 4 p.m.—Collings-Knight House

"Collings-Knight House Annual Business Meeting followed by the Camden County Reader's Theatre Project presentation of John Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath. The meeting will be brief, the readings entertainment. Take a break from doing your taxes and relate to the characters in Steinbeck's classic."
