Cranford Driver's 'Medical Episode' Caused Rollover Crash: Police

Three cars were involved in the crash on Walnut Avenue Monday afternoon. Two people were taken to an area hospital.

CRANFORD, NJ — The Cranford Police Department posted on Facebook on Monday that a motor vehicle crash on the 300 block of Walnut Avenue was caused by a "driver having a medical episode."

Police said that there were three vehicles involved, one of which rolled upside down. Two occupants in one of the vehicles were transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

The crash occurred around 2:10 p.m. on Monday, the end of a three-day weekend.

The police noted, "Walnut Avenue has reopened to vehicular traffic and the Cranford Police Department Traffic Bureau is investigating the crash."

The police posted several photos of the crash on their Facebook page.
