Cranford Expects More Than Six Inches of Snow

The Cranford Police Department has issued a winter storm warning for the Township, after the National Weather Service said the area could receive 6 to 10 inches of snow on Tuesday.

Snowfall is said to being around noon on Tuesday and carry on until Wednesday at 6 a.m. During the day Tuesday, winds will be 15 to 20 MPH with gusts of 20 to 30 MPH. Tuesday night winds could also increase between 20 and 25 MPH with gusts possibly as high as 35 MPH, according to the NWS.

Additionally, the area will be in for some cold temperatures with 15 to 20 degree temperatures on Tuesday with Wind Chills of 0 to 5 degrees. Tuesday evening will be 0 to 5 degrees with wind chills between -10 and -15 degrees. 

The department also urges residents to keep vehicles off the streets to assist the Department of Public Works with cleanup.
