The Cranford quarterback made his college choice Thursday.

John Oblachinski of Cranford Commits to Georgetown University
On Thursday, John Oblachinski of Cranford signed a letter of intent to play for Georgetown University in Washington D.C.. Patch invited him to write a few words about achieving the dream of playing football at one of the nation's most prestigious universities.

"Through all my years of playing sports, my parents always emphasized hard work and dedication, in both the classroom and on the field.

I am really looking forward to attending and playing football at Georgetown University in the fall. I have been truly blessed with great coaches at Cranford High School, as they not only teach their respective sport, but also teach life lessons.

I have great respect for Coach Rosenmeier, Coach McCaffery and Coach Huber as they all have had a great impact on my life.

The advice I would give the young athletes of Cranford today, is to always remember that hard work pays off and follow your dreams."
