MLK Day of Service, OAS Blood Drive, CHS Team Ice Skate This Week

The following events are happening this week in Cranford. 

MLK Day of Service: 
The Human Relations Committee of the Cranford Clergy council will honor Martin Luther King Jr.’s memory by hosting the 2nd Annual Day of Service at the First Presbyterian Church of Cranford on Monday. Various service projects will take place in Bates Hall from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

OAS Winter Blood Drive: The Orange Avenue School 5th graders will be hosting a Blood Drive this Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Your donation could help save a life.

Classic Film: The film  All Quiet on the Western Front will screen at the Cranford Community Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Chamber of Commerce Kick-off party: The Cranford Chamber of Commerce is marking their 70th Anniversary in 2014 with a kick-off party on Wednesday night at the Cranford Hotel from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost of $15 includes, 2 hours of passed appetizers with a cash bar. Jumble Store Appreciation Sale: On Saturday, the Jumble Store is hosting a customer appreciation sale where existing Jumble Store Red Bag holders can receive 10% all regular price items. All shoppers must bring their own bags.

CHS Hockey Ice Hockey Team Skate: Skate with the Cranford High School Cougars Ice Hockey Team for $5 at Warinanco Park on Saturday from  6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Prices for Score - O shots,Raffle, Door Prizes.

Play Readings: The Friends of the Cranford Public Library will present staged readings of three short plays, one by Ed Lataro, and two by Kirk White. The plays will be read by members of the Theater Project at the Cranford Community Center on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Loaves of Love Sale: 
Delicious loaves of homemade bread are being sold to raise money for the Aids Resource Foundation’s St. Claire's Homes for Children at Trinity Episcopal Church on Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon. Loaves cost $3. More information, here.

Meet the Author: 
The Cranford Historical Society presents Robert E. Tevis, author of "Keep Your Hands Out Of My Pocket:Strategies To Get More For Your Money" on Sunday at the Crane-Phillips House Museum from 2:15 p.m. to 4 p.m.. Doors open at 2.

Gordon James Quartet: The  Friends of the Cranford Public Library are pleased to present a musical tour of Tin Pan Alley, featuring the  Gordon James Quartet at the Cranford Community Center on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. For more information, click  here.
