Power Restored For Over 1,000 Cranford, Clark Residents

Power has since been restored to about 1,500 Cranford and Clark locals who lost power Friday after a transformer caught fire.

CRANFORD, NJ — Close to 1,500 Cranford and Clark residents are in the dark after a transformer caught fire Friday morning, police report.

The power outage was reported around 8:20 a.m. in the southwest section of the Cranford on Walnut Avenue.

PSE&G is reporting 1,182 Cranford customers and 311 Clark customers are without power as a result.

PSE&G crews are responding to make repairs. The outage is anticipated to last several hours, Cranford Police report.
