Dec. 28: Victor Cammarota, 23, of Cranford was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop on South Avenue. He was released to a responsible adult.

Dec. 18: Omar Roig, 39, of Westfield was arrested on an outstanding Woodbridge warrant for $678 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Further investigation revealed Roig had an additional warrant from Elizabeth Municipal Court in the amount of $400. He was processed and turned over to the Woodbridge Police Department.
A resident of the 200 block of Clifton Street reported being the victim of an act of fraud. An unknown suspect used the victim’s information and withdrew $8,000 from the victim’s bank account.
Brandon Phillips, 19, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Phillips was also was issued two summonses before he was processed and released.
A business located on the 100 block of Cardinal Drive reported an incident of fraud. Someone unknown gained access to the company checking account and created false checks.
A resident of Cherry Lane reported being the victim of fraud/theft. Unknown suspect(s) gained access to the victim’s checking account and created false checks.
A business located on the 100 block of Elm Street reported an incident of fraud/theft. The business owner stated that the suspect used a credit card to purchase items in the amount of $422. It was discovered at a later time that the amount of money could not be paid to the business.
Dec. 19: A business on the 300 block of East Broad Street turned in a found white iPod Touch in a Hello Kitty case. The property was being held for safekeeping until the owner could be notified.
A resident of the 500 block of Pierson Street reported the theft of an artificial red poinsettia Christmas decoration from the front porch sometime between Dec. 17 and 19. The stolen item is valued at $60.
Dec. 20: Andrew J. Kaufhold, 26, of Westfield was arrested on the 600 block of Boulevard and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI). Kaufhold struck two parked motor vehicles while traveling south on Boulevard, according to police. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released to a sober adult.
Dec. 26: A business owner on the 600 block of Central Avenue reported a possible attempted burglary. The incident occurred between Dec. 22 and 24. Unknown suspect(s) allegedly removed poles and Styrofoam near an exhaust fan in an attempt to gain entry to the business. Further investigation revealed that entry to the business was not gained. The incident remains under investigation.
Jan. 1: Jordan D. Johnson, 21, of Westfield, was arrested during an investigation in the 800 block of Carlton Rd. Johnson was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Ecstacy, and possession of Ecstacy with intent to distribute. Johnson was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters, processed and released on summonses pending a court appearance at the Union County Superior Court.
Jan. 2: Brittany M. Robbins of Westfield was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on an outstanding warrant issued by Hightstown Boro. Robbins was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters, processed and released on her own recognizance.
