WATCH: What Killed South River Dolphin?
State won't say what killed dolphin between East Brunswick and Old Bridge.

South River, NJ - Remember the dolphin that found itself accidentally in the South River between Old Bridge and East Brunswick last August? The state is refusing to reveal how it died.
The dolphin strayed into the South River in early August, and rescue groups tried, but failed to coax it back out into the Raritan River, and ultimately, back into the Atlantic Ocean. The dolphin, which was older, died after swimming into a shallow area of the river in between Old Bridge and East Brunswick.
The NJ Department of Agriculture performed a necropsy, but when MuckRock.com requested the results this week under the Open Public Records Act, the state declined to release them. The state said, ”the information concerning individuals ... medical, psychiatric ... history” is confidential.
