Police Car Hijacked, 3 Police Officers Injured In Wild Car Chase Through Bergen County: Report

A Connecticut man lead police on a merry chase throughout Bergen County Monday that some people said wouldn’t even happen in a movie.
The man Sereymanta Kong, 22, was taken to Bergen Regional Medical Center and held on $1 million bail, authorities told NorthJersey.com.
Kong was charged with carjacking, resisting arrest by flight, assault on a police officer, obstruction, eluding police, theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, and simple assault in the presence of a juvenile, the report states.

An Englewood police officer tried to stop Kong from carjacking a woman’s car on Castle Drive - with her kids still in the vehicle, police told the website. The woman had pulled over after seeing Kong lying in the middle of the street.
Kong jumped into the woman’s car. She was able to pull her kids out of the car before Kong led authorities on a 22-minute car chase; three police officers were injured during the chase, the report states.
