Exploding Transformer Causes Fair Lawn Fire: Police
BREAKING: The transformer caused live power lines to fall on a tractor-trailer, police said.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A transformer exploded Tuesday morning just after 11 a.m., igniting a fire, but not hurting anyone, authorities said.
The transformer, located on Broadway near Zink Place, brought down two lines, which landed on two empty shipping trailers and vegetation, all of which caught fire, said Sgt. Brian Metzler.
PSE&G responded to the area and cut power to the lines before fire personnel could battle the blaze.
