Bridges built of fettuccine by Fair Lawn High geometry students

Fair Lawn High School geometry students enjoy building bridges out of pasta, but watching them smash is even more fun. The bridges are built using only Elmer's glue and can not weigh more than 12 ounces. If the bridge is built correctly, it can withstand over 700 pounds. On stage this past Friday, seniors from the wrestling and football teams gently put weights on top of each bridge until it smashed, while students watched from the audience.
