Fair Lawn police Tuesday released surveillance images of the man who allegedly robbed the TD Bank on River Road Monday afternoon.
The suspect, described as an approximately 6-foot tall, 170-pound black male between 25 and 30 years of age with some facial hair, can be seen in the photographs wearing a light brown Adidas hooded sweatshirt, black winter gloves and a dark colored cap.
Police said he entered the bank around 2:19 p.m. Monday and passed the teller a note demanding money. Bank employees told police that the suspect neither spoke nor brandished a weapon. After receiving the money -- approximately $2,800 -- he made off on foot in the direction of Fair Lawn Avenue, police said.
Despite search attempts by borough officers and the county K-9 unit, police were unable to locate the bank robbery suspect. Fair Lawn police are continuing the robbery investigation in conjunction with the FBI.
