Runner's High Collecting Essentials for Hurricane Victims

Runner's High Freehold location is collecting clothing and blankets for those in need.

Runner's High Collecting Essentials for Hurricane Victims

A shoe collection started by a local business has turned into a clothing and essential drive for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

After Sandy hit, Runner’s High in Freehold was left without power, but that did not stop the store from helping out those in need. According to the Runner’s High facebook page, multiple store locations started collecting old shoes from residents on Saturday. As the days after the hurricane continued, Runner’s High in Freehold and Metuchen began collecting clothing and blankets.

In an email to Patch, Rob DeFilippis, Owner of Runner’s High, explained that a Runner’s High employee lives in Union Beach and is working the front lines there.

With the cold weather upon us, Runner’s High will be continuing to donate essentials to those in need. For more information about Runner’s High donations visit the store’s facebook page.
