All Greater Egg Harbor Regional School District schools, including Absegami, are closed due to inclement weather as precipitation falls throughout the area Thursday morning.
All after school athletic activities, practices and athletic events are cancelled or rescheduled. Adult school is also cancelled,
according to the district's website.
Galloway Township Public Schools and the Galloway Community Charter School are also closed.
Additionally, the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and Atlantic County offices will have delayed openings this morning
The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey announced it would be opening at 10 a.m. Atlantic County government offices will also be opening at 10 a.m.
While much of Atlantic and Cape May counties have seen steady rain as a result of the nor'easter that hit the region overnight, some areas are seeing snow.
Egg Harbor City had accumulated 4.5 inches of snow as of 2:13 a.m.,
according to the National Weather Service out of Mount Holly. Pleasantville and the Atlantic City International Airport saw 2.5 inches, and Mays Landing saw 2 inches of snow.
Just before 6 a.m., there was plowing and salting on the Atlantic City Expressway in both directions between the Atlantic City Convention Center and Route 42 in Washington Township. The speed limit in that area has also been reduced to 35 miles an hour,
according to 511nj.org.
There was also plowing and salting on the Atlantic City-Brigantine Connector in both directions from the Atlantic City Expressway to the Brigantine Bridge.
