Gloucester Township Police Host Inaugural Dog Walker Watch Event June 28
The Gloucester Township Police Department hosts its inaugural Dog Walker Watch Event on Saturday, June 28, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Timber Creek Dog Park located on Chews Landing Road.

Dog Walker Watch (DWW) is a crime awareness program sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) that encourages dog walkers nationwide to serve as “extra eyes and ears” for local law enforcement agencies.

The goal of Dog Walker Watch is to help residents who are walking their dogs and are preoccupied with texting, chatting, emailing, and talking on the phone to effectively observe and report criminal activity, according to Gloucester Township Police.

Those attending the Dog Walker Watch will have the chance to adopt dogs from the Camden County Animal Shelter and other local dog rescues and to meet with local dog trainers to help with questions about their dogs.

Mcgruff the Crime Dog, Petsmart and Target will also be on location supporting the event.

Anyone interested in attending or anyone who has any questions is asked to contact Community Relations Officer Jenn McLaughlin at jmclaughlin@gtpolice.com or 856-228-4011
