The two cars were seen leaving Canal's Liquor Store between the time of the first 9-1-1 call and the arrival of Gloucester Township Police.

Gloucester Township Police Seek Witnesses in Sunday Night Hit-and-Run

The Gloucester Township Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying two “vehicles of interest” that were videotaped in the area of a Sunday night hit-and-run.

A 22-year-old man was walking along Sicklerville Road near the intersection with Jarvis Road across from the Strawberry Square Shopping Center around 10 p.m.

He was hit by a car believed to be traveling west on Sicklerville Road. The car didn’t stop and is believed to have fled on Sicklerville Road toward Route 42.

The man, who isn’t being identified at this time, was found on the side of the road. He was transported to Cooper Hospital Trauma Center in Camden.

The vehicle is believed to have had sustained significant front end damage and/or a shattered windshield. No other description of the vehicle is available at this time.

One of the “vehicles of interest” is possibly a light color Jeep Cherokee and the second vehicle is a light color 4 door vehicle, unknown make or model.

The two vehicles are captured on video camera, from Joe Canal’s Liquor Store, as they are driving though the Strawberry Square Shopping Center parking lot between the times of the first 9-1-1 call and the first arriving GTPD Officer near the intersection where a pedestrian was struck by an unknown hit and run driver and vehicle.
