Aunt of 3-Year-Old South Jersey Boy Found Dead Testifies Before Grand Jury: Reports

Sarah Jessica Creato made a video about a boy who goes missing and is found dead sometime before her nephew was found by the Cooper River.

The aunt of the 3-year-old Haddon Township boy who was found dead near the Cooper River almost a month ago appeared before a grand jury on Monday in connection with the investigation, a source told NBC 10.

Brendan Link Creato’s body was found around 9 a.m. in a wooded area near Cooper River on Oct. 13.

Sarah Jessica Creato, 20, reportedly made a “trailer” with the boy’s father, David “DJ” Creato, that has surfaced online in which a boy is reported missing and is ultimately found dead. It was allegedly made for a college class, but it wasn’t clear when.

Philadelphia-based attorney Bill Brennan is representing Sarah Jessica Creato along with her parents, according to the report. He told the news station people shouldn’t become distracted by the trailer that has appeared online because “it’s a red herring” and “a waste of time.”

He didn’t confirm or deny that his client appeared before a grand jury because those hearings are secret, according to the report.

Brennan told the Philly Voice last week that she was speaking with a prosecutor, but didn’t say she had been issued a subpoena to testify.

DJ Creato’s attorney, Robert Fuschina Jr., said his client has not been asked to testify, according to phillyvoice.com.

The boy was staying with his father on Monday night, Oct. 12. He was last seen around 9:30 p.m. when his grandmother dropped him off at Creato’s house on the 100 block of Cooper Street.

Police have ruled out the possibility of sexual abuse and said it didn’t appear as though anyone had broken into the house the night he went missing.

A toxicology report also recently came back negative, meaning there were no drugs or chemicals involved in his death.

A man walking a stroller covered in a blanketin the area, two hours before Brendan Link Creato’s body was found, a witness told the Philly Voice. That witness has since disappeared.
