Hillsborough Public Library Program Room B
In 2011, the Printmaking Center of New Jersey (PCNJ) developed and launched Combat Paper NJ, a ground-breaking program which uses the art of handmade papermaking to help veterans explore the physical, psychological and emotional effects of war.
Join us as veteran James Yee shares his emotional journey and shows us how veterans integrate drawings, photographs, words and iconic images into their art using silkscreen, pulp spray and other printmaking techniques they are taught. Each piece of Combat Paper art tells a profoundly personal story, and will help you to better understand what vets have endured. You don't want to miss this moving program!
The Hillsborough Library will also host an exhibition of Combat Paper for the month of August in our display case.
Please register for this program by calling (908) 369-2200 ext.12 or online at www.sclibnj.org.
