Fire At Multi-Family Hillsborough Home

Amwell Road was closed early Friday morning in both directions as firefighters battled a blaze at a structure fire in a multi-family home.

Hillsborough, NJ -- A multi-family home caught on fire early Friday morning on Amwell Road in Hillsborough.

A Nixle alert sent out by Hillsborough Police at 3:15 a.m. closed Amwell Road in both directions near Zion Road. It was reopend at 5:17 a.m.

"First-arriving units found fire in the rear of a first floor section with heavy smoke throughout the entire building and possible entrapment," stated Station 37 fire department on Facebook.

Fire departments including Stations 48 and 37 responded on scene to put out the working structure fire.

Crews from Station 37 assisted with primary and secondary searches as well as overhaul.
