Large Detached Garage And RV Camper Go Up In Flames In Hillsborough

The fire caused Amwell Road to close for a period of time on Tuesday.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A garage and RV camper went up in flames on Tuesday in Hillsborough.

At 1:21 p.m., Hillsborough Police and Fire went to 686 Amwell Road for a report of a structure fire.

Police and Emergency personnel located a large, detached garage and RV camper engulfed in flames, said Hillsborough Police Captain Scott W. Mc Carthy.

The fire was extinguished by fire personnel and the cause of the fire is under current investigation.

There were no reported injuries to any civilians or emergency personnel.

Amwell Road was closed between East Mountain Road and River Road due to the number of emergency vehicles on scene.
