Letter to the Editor: Martinez's Experience Speaks for Itself

Resident says he believes BOE candidate is the right person for the post.

Letter to the Editor: Martinez's Experience Speaks for Itself

The following is a Letter to the Editor submitted by township resident Bruce Lowenhaupt.

To the editor:

I recommend Aldo Martinez for the upcoming elections.

I have known Aldo since he first moved to Hillsborough, over 26 years ago. He is uniquely qualified for a position on the school board. He is an attorney having graduated from Seton Law School after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from St. Peter’s College. He served as vice president of New York Stock Exchange Regulation, where he investigated and prosecuted violators of federal security laws. He teaches corporate finance at St. Peters College and he coached boys and girls CYO basketball and boys baseball in Hillsborough for a total of 12 years.

Aldo’s legal and analytical background would be a great asset for the Hillsborough school board where he has experience with balancing budgets and maintaining financial sustainability. He also understands what is needed to prepare today’s students for competing in business. Aldo has raised four children, all of whom have graduated from college with interesting careers. His first-hand teaching experience also provides him with insight on the roles and responsibilities of our teachers in delivering a curriculum.

I know that education is a fundamental value for Aldo, having played a significant role in his professional and personal success, and a core value that he has shared with his family, friends, and students. Please join me on April 17 in voting for Aldo.
