Tractor Trailer Fire Under Investigation In Hillsborough

A tractor trailer reportedly caught fire and spread to another parked next to it​ on Friday night in Hillsborough, police report.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Authorities are investigating a tractor trailer fire reported on Friday night in Hillsborough.

A tractor trailer reportedly caught fire and spread to another parked next to it at around 8:40 p.m. in the parking lot of Brick & Shale at 75 Hamilton Road in Hillsborough, Police Lt. Mike McMahon said.

Hillsborough Fire Station 37 was called out to the scene where they were able to contain the fire and prevent extension to the trailers, according to Station 37 Fire.

Due to a lack of water supply, stations 36 and 38 were also responded to help out. Other responding units included: Chief 37 and 36, Assistant 37 and 36, Engine 37, Ladder 38, Rescue 38, Tenders 36 and 38, Rehab 1, Office of Emergency Management, Hillsborough Township Police Department and Robert Wood Johnson EMS.

The fire is still under investigation, McMahon said.
