This year's St. Patrick's Day celebrations saw 18 arrests, compared to last year's 34.

18 People Arrested During Hoboken LepreCon

Police arrested 18 people in Hoboken on Saturday, during the city's first LepreCon celebration in lieu of the St. Patrick's Day Parade. 

Last year 34 people were arrested. 

Below is the overview of arrests, provided by the police. All information is based on police reports. 

The first arrest of the day happened at 2:45 p.m. in the A&P parking lot, when police arrested 24-year-old Daniel Barroqueiro from Newark for driving while intoxicated. 

Around 3:40 p.m., at First and Hudson Streets, 25-year-old Matthew Rosen was arrested for allegedly attacking the fire chief's car with a green umbrella. Rosen, from Randolph, was charged with disorderly conduct. 

Twenty minutes later, police arrested Jonathan Avecillas, 24 from Green Brook, for trying to push his way into a bar on First Street. Avecillas was charged with disorderly conduct. 

Another disorderly conduct arrest occured twenty minutes later when Jonathan Seitz from Fair Lawn allegedly tried to punch a bouncer on First Street. Seitz, 25, was charged with disorderly conduct. 

Many hours later, around 8:30 p.m. at First and River Streets, police arrested 26-year-old Daniel McCarthy from Smithtown, NY for disorderly conduct and allegedly resisting arrest. Police said McCarthy became verbally combative and wouldn't quiet down after being asked to do so. 

Around 8:45 p.m., at First and River Streets, police arrested 25-year-old Aayon Maitra, from Cherry Hill, for driving under the influence. When asked to recite the alphabet, his speech "sluggish and slurred," he answered "A ... T ... A." 

Around 9:30 p.m. in front of City Hall, police found Jiteshkum Patel, who appeared intoxicated, standing in the middle of the street, waving down cars. Patel, 30 from Union, allegedly continued to act disorderly and then proceeded to resist himself against a police officer. Patel was charged with assaulting a police officer and disorderly conduct. 

Christoph Lyon, 24 from Boonton, was arrested around 9:30 p.m. for allegedly pushing a police officer at Washington and Fifth Streets. Before police arrested him, Lyon had allegedly been cursing at passersby.

Five minutes later, police broke up a fight outside 900 Bloomfield St., where a 26-year-old Garfield man was punched in the face and left bleeding by the alleged actor. Police arrested Joseph Pangione, 30 from New Milford; Diana Dopico, 23 from West New York and Francisco Penaranda, 24 also from West New York. The three were charged with aggravated assault and endangering an injured victim. 

Around 10 p.m. police arrested Matthew Bailey, 24 from Oakland, at First and Bloomfield Streets for failure to disperse. 

Jose Kevin Torres, 20 from Jersey City, was arrested around 10:25 p.m. for allegedly damaging a car on Court Street. He was charged with criminal misschief. 

Around that same time at First and Garden Streets, police broke up a fight and arrested three people involved in a physical altercation. George Kocher, 23 from New York and twin brothers Frank and Michael Marra, 27 from Hoboken, were arrested and charged with simple assault. Police also found that Kocher was in posession of heroin.
