A raging truck fire on the NJ Turnpike in Kearny threw a monkey wrench into the Wednesday morning commute, reports said.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A raging truck fire on the NJ Turnpike in Kearny threw a monkey wrench into the Wednesday morning commute, reports said.

Twitter user @EJDooley posted a video of the blaze, calling it a “terrible truck fire.” (Watch video below)

In a Wednesday morning tweet, NJ Transit stated that bus service traveling southbound on the turnpike near interchange 15 was subject to delays of up to 15 minutes “due to a vehicle fire in Kearny.”

According to 511NJ.org, as of 9:49 a.m., there were “rubbernecking delays” stretching up to a mile on the NJ Turnpike’s eastern spur southbound in the vicinity of interchange 15W and I-280 in Kearny.
