Janet is survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Janet Rush of the Holmdel Half-Century Club Dies at 90

Janet A. Rush, 90, of Holmdel, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.  Janet was born in Brooklyn, NY; and moved to Holmdel in 1956.

Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was the co-owner of Hy-Dee Plastics in New York with her husband. She was an avid bowler and belonged to the Half-Century Club of Holmdel. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, especially by limo. She enjoyed traveling and cruised to many islands.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, William in 1991; her parents, John and Anna Hayes, a brother, William Hayes; a son, James; and granddaughters, Kerri A. Maddock and Melissa Cokelet Brown.  She is survived by her children, Lorraine Brown, Jane Killeen and husband Francis; Maureen Cokelet and husband Charles; and William Rush.  She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; and her sister, Gloria Bassler. 

Janet will hold a special place in the hearts of everyone who knew her.  She has left us with wonderful memories to last a lifetime.

Family and friends are invited Friday, April 19, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Saturday, April 20, 2013, 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with a 12 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict RC Church, Holmdel. 

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2 University Plaza, Suite 312, Hackensack, NJ  07601.
