Police: 3 Weekend Burglaries in Holmdel

Holmdel Township police responded to three burglaries that reportedly took place this weekend, according to a press release issued by the department.

On Saturday, Oct. 13, two homes in the township were broken into and the bedrooms ransacked, the release stated. Police responded to a Dimisa Drive residence after a home alarm went off. Authorities discovered an open rear door and checked the interior of the home, where they found the bedrooms in disarray.

On Monday, Oct. 15, police responded to a Round Hill home after a burglary was reported. An investigation revealed that unknown suspects forced their way into the home through the front door on Saturday and went through the bedrooms, according to the press release. The Holmdel Police Department also issued a phone alert regarding the burglary, noting that the home's alarm system had been ripped out during the incident.

On Sunday, Oct. 14, Holmdel police received a report of a car burglary that took place on Ladwood Drive late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. Cpl. Walter Weber took the initial report.

It was unclear as of Monday what items were taken during the burglaries. Police are investigating the break-ins.
