7-11 Employee And Boyfriend Charged With Theft Of $975 From Store

Lacey police recently arrested an overnight employee at the 7-11 store on Lacey Road in Forked River and her boyfriend for the theft of $975 from the store, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Ronnivictoria Birkner called police at 4:40 a.m. on April 2 to report a robbery. Birkner told police that an unknown masked man had entered the store and demanded money. The store’s video surveillance system showed a masked man entering the store, Birkner handing over the cash and the man leaving on foot, the chief said.

Lacey detectives spoke with several witnesses and reviewed numerous hours of surveillance video that ultimately led to the arrest of Birkner and her boyfriend. Detective Robert Surtees arrested Birkner, Lakeside Drive North, on May 19, and charged her with theft, conspiracy to commit theft and filing a fictitious report, Paprota said.

Birkner’s boyfriend, Jordin Henry, 21,Penn Avenue North, was arrested at his Forked River home after officers located him hiding in the attic. Henry was charged with theft and conspiracy to commit theft. Henry was also wanted by the East Brunswick Municipal Court after failing to appear in court for drug charges. Henry was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of $20,500 cash bail, the chief said.

Birkner was released on her own recognizance, pending a court appearance, he said.
